Bobcat Rank

Cub scout ranks are set up by grade and age, except for the Bobcat, which all boys must earn. The Bobcat is earned after the Tiger Cub rank, but before all other ranks. If a boy joins Cub Scouts as a Wolf, Bear, or Webelos Scout, he must first earn his Bobcat badge.

To earn the Bobcat, the following requirements must be completed:

• Learn the Cub Scout Promise and tell what it means.
• Learn the Law of the Pack and tell what it means>
• Tell what Webelos means.
• Show the Cub Scout sign and tell what it means.
• Show the Cub Scout handshake and tell what it means.
• Say the Cub Scout Motto.
• Give the Cub Scout salute and tell what it means.
• With a parent or gaurdian, complete the exercises in the booklet "How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse".

Once the requirements are completed, the boy will receive his Bobcat badge, with a meaningful ceremony, at the monthly Pack meeting.
